The calm clear pediatrician in your pocket

I'm Dr Richille-Anne Brown, a pediatrician passionate about helping parents care for their children with confidence.

In my work with children and families, I’ve seen how often parents are left feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or unsure about their child’s symptoms and healthcare. Pocketbook Paediatrics was created to change that.

My goal is simple

I provide calm, clear pediatric guidance so parents know when to relax, when to seek care, and how to confidently care for their children at home.

Think of Pocketbook Paediatrics as having a trusted pediatrician gently walk you through your child’s symptoms and care, step by step.

clear advice when you need it the most

My goal with Pocketbook Paediatrics is simple

I aim to help parents understand their child’s health with clarity and confidence.

Children get sick. They develop strange habits. They go through phases that can sometimes worry parents. But with the right information, many situations become far less frightening — and when real challenges do arise, parents are far better prepared to face them.

In my work with children and families, I’ve had the privilege of supporting many parents through the worries and questions that come with raising a child.

Through simple explanations and practical guidance, I hope to help you feel more confident caring for your child — and to know when it’s time to seek medical attention. Because when parents understand what’s happening, they can care for their children with far greater peace of mind.

A few fun facts about Dr Brown

A Few Fun Facts About            Dr Brown

Long before I became a paediatrician, I was also a child with a few memorable phases of my own.

  • I was born prematurely and spent my first few days in the special care nursery. When I finally got home, I apparently wasn’t very interested in breastfeeding.

  • I went through a phase of walking on tip-toes.

  • I was what we call in Jamaica a “suck-finger jack” until I was about six years old.

  • I also grew up loving bologna-and-cheese sandwiches. I ate them every day, which probably explains why I’m very understanding when parents tell me their child only wants to eat one thing for a week.

  • And yes… my mom once had to come to school to help deal with a bullying situation.

Those experiences are part of why I have such a soft spot for children and the parents who care for them.

In caring for children, I’ve learned that many of the things that worry parents most are actually very common — and often much easier to navigate once you have the right information. So I share these little stories to encourage you. Many of these things are simply passing phases.

Parenting is a journey of learning and growing — for children and for parents. I’m here to help guide you along the way.

And remember: You’ve got this!
